We make it easy to get a turf yard

D&R Outdoor Contracting can make your turf installation project simple. We have a thorough, five-step process:

  1. You'll meet with one of our team members who will assist you in site evaluation and design. During your consultation, we can introduce the many types of artificial grass products we offer to narrow down your favorite one. Once you feel confident and comfortable with your decision, we can proceed with artificial grass installation!

  2. Once our crew is on site, our installers will begin by removing any excess materials from your lawn, including soil weeds and any above-ground substances that can interfere with your installation. After we cut and cap your valves, we’ll install the sub-base. If we have to remove any sod during the installation process, we’ll apply a weed barrier to the sub-base before adding the turf.

  3. Our team spreads decomposed granite to create a durable base for your artificial grass. A level base is important to any successful artificial turf installation to secure proper drainage. We’ll use a compactor to ensure the foundation is set before applying water.

  4. We’ll create a perimeter around the area, using nails to bond with the decomposed granite under the surface. Our installers will find straight edges to properly align your turf. Once the alignment is in place, we’ll secure the square edges of your artificial turf with temporary nails while the opposite edges are held during installation.

  5. Next, we’ll line up the newly designed turf pattern and secure it by driving permanent nails through your artificial grass. The nails hide underneath your turf blades while preventing dimples.
